Knowing our Neighbours

One day.....you will need to know what your neighbour does.

You might already be very familiar with your neighbours, but many of us these days are so busy working outside the home that we no longer have the contact we used have, in what we like to fondly think of as 'the olden days'.

Do you think we'll ever need to have this connection/information again?

I believe we will.

With difficult times around us and even more trying times to come, it seems that it is of great importance to know what services can be provided locally. Maybe we can trade services?

Community awareness = ie to be aware of the people too, not just the services they might be able to supply is vitally important.

In these crazy days of 'privacy' - we are being more and more insular - and we are 'generally' becoming an uncaring society. We can make a change for the better. We can CARE.

There is a great song that says it all - United we stand, Divided we fall....and if our backs should ever be against the wall...........we'll be together! One voice in the community is difficult to hear - but a 'community voice' can be very loud indeed.
